Lessons to learn

If..

War
Natural disaster
Plague
Economic downfall

Or any kind of events that causes our lives to be impacted negatively..

kicks in.

You will have no time to contribute to anything that aren't constructive.

Or rather, you don't even have the time to think about other stuffs.

You'd be running and feuding for your life instead.

Learn to appreciate life as it is, learn to appreciate how fortunate our lives are, learn to appreciate the peacetime we share.

Sadly speaking, to many, happiness can never significantly be crystal clear compared to desires and unhappiness.

One's world, isn't originally constructed to fail.

Its more of like, one who fails to see, fails to let go of desires, fails oneself.

Luck someday, will also run out.

Channeling so much energy and focus onto harping what you have lost, unable to achieve what you desire, all your little unhappiness over things that didn't went your way.

Look what is around you, life is just more than these.

When one's demand is higher than what one can provide, when what one can provide doesn't meet the criteria of what is being demanded, that is the start-off point, where things have the highest chances to fall.

Asking for more and more, lacking the will to accept things that cannot be changed, being persistent on changing something that they cannot accept.

"The grass is greener at the other side"...

For sure, I don't have the ideal solution to tell you how to be happy

But I can tell you how to be less unhappy from my experience.

Its just as simple as this:

知足。
